Georgia Residents Receive $19.99 Admission to Carowinds and SCarowinds this Fall
CHARLOTTE, NC (October 14, 2009)—Carowinds, a 112-acre amusement park located at the border of the Carolinas near Charlotte, has announced a new discount ticket program specifically for guests residing in the state of Georgia. From now until November 1, Georgia residents can purchase up to four discount tickets to Carowinds or SCarowinds’ Halloween Haunt for only $19.99 each when they show their valid Georgia state driver’s license at the Carowinds main gate.
“This new discount for Georgia residents is over fifty percent off of the regular admission price,” said Bart Kinzel, Carowinds’ Vice President and General Manager. “We are proud of what the Park has to offer, and for many Georgia residents who have not had the opportunity to visit our park, we’d like to invite you out to experience what Carowinds or SCarowinds are all about—chills, thrills, and Fall family fun!”
Carowinds is open for daytime family fun on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5:30pm through November 1. With over 50 rides, shows and attractions, including twelve pulse pounding roller coasters, the park has something fun for everyone! New this Fall is Howl-O-Fest’s Boo Blast, a frightful street party of family fun. Children and their families can celebrate the magic of fall together with the region’s most elaborate family daytime Halloween event, including a foam zone, kiddie-oke, face painting, hay bale maze, and more! Howl-O-Fest's Boo Blast is open from 12pm - 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays and is included with the price of daytime admission.
But when the nighttime falls, Carowinds transforms into none other than the premier Halloween event in the region on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 7pm-midnight (7pm-1am on October 24 & October 31). SCarowinds’ Halloween Haunt is celebrating its tenth season of screams, complete with eight mazes, three scare zones, a haunting live show, and over 400 monsters lurking around every corner - all are included with the price of admission to SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt.
The Georgia Resident Discount Ticket may only be purchased at the Carowinds main gate. SCarowinds’ Halloween Haunt is a separate admittance attraction and is not recommended for children under the age of thirteen.
